Description
XmnI is a Type IIP restriction enzyme derived from Xanthomonas manihotis. It was purified following recombinant expression in Escherichia coli. XmnI recognizes and cleaves the sequence GAANN/NNTTC, generating blunt ends. Its optimal activity is observed in Cut Buffer C with star activity control. XmnI is compatible with the universal CutOne® Buffer, allowing convenient double‑digestion with other endonucleases, but prolonged incubations should be avoided to prevent star activity.
